Dr. David J. Vaughan, Pastor


David J. Vaughan is a pastor, writer and community leader dedicated to the propagation of the Christian message by means of the spoken and written word. Currently, Dr. Vaughan is Pastor of Liberty Christian Church, Director of Liberty Leadership Institute (a division of Whitefield Theological Seminary) and President of Liberty Classical School.

In addition to these ongoing activities, David also addresses current and biblical issues through writing. He is a consulting editor for the St. Louis MetroVoice and Highland Books, and his articles have appeared in numerous national publications. He has also authored several books: Give Me Liberty: the Uncompromising Statesmanship of Patrick Henry; The Pillars of Leadership; Jonathan Edwards; Extra Muros; and Statesman and Saint: The Principled Politics of William Wilberforce.

As a lecturer and community leader, David speaks at a variety of church and civic functions, has appeared on nationally syndicated television and radio, and is a host of the Encounter radio program (KSIV 1320 AM).

Dr. Vaughan is a member of the National Association of Scholars, the Emerging Scholars Network, the Evangelical Theological Society, and the Evangelical Philosophical Society. He holds the Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, the Master of Arts Degree in Political Science, the Doctor of Arts Degree in Christian Leadership, as well as the Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Christian Thought.

David and his wife Diane have four children, Hannah, Lydia, Ethan and Adam.
