Welcome to the Worship Page:
There are two main purposes for worship ministry: to minister to God and to minister to the church. Musical worship makes God glad (Psalm 45:8) and worship edifies and encourages the church as well (Ephesians 5:19).
At Liberty we hold to the truth stated in the Westminster Shorter Catechism: Man?s chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever. We strive to glorify God in all we do, specifically through the music ministry.
The great baroque composer, Johann Sebastian Bach stated, ?The aim and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul. If heed is not paid to this, it is not true music but a diabolical bawling and twanging.? To achieve this end of bringing glory to God and refreshment to the soul through music, we have a contemporary worship band consisting of various instrumentalists and vocalists. We sing and play psalms, hymns and spiritual songs written by believers throughout history and including original compositions by members of our worship team.
Psalm 150- 1 Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! 2 Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! 3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! 4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! 5 Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! 6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!
